Interagency Coordination Symposium
The Interagency Transformation, Education & Analysis (ITEA) program will host its next Interagency Coordination Symposium at the National Defense University on March 20-22, 2007. During the Symposium, participants will learn about each others' roles and responsibilities, ongoing government initiatives, and interagency coordination best practices. Through presentations, Q&A sessions, and small group discussions, attendees will talk with and learn from others who regularly engage in interagency coordination. Attendees will also participate in an exercise that will underscore agency and federal capabilities and the importance of effective coordination. Please see the attached agenda for more information.
We hope that you or someone from your organization will join us. The target audience is government officials (GS-13 through GS-15, O-5/O-6, and equivalents) in policy or planning positions that require extensive interagency coordination, and members of the non-governmental community--industry, non-profit organizations, and academia--who frequently work with the USG. If you have attended a symposium or are a member of our steering group, please forward this information to colleagues you think may be interested or could benefit from this opportunity.
To register, please complete and return the attached registration form by Friday, March 2. Since space is limited to 40-45 individuals, please respond promptly to ensure participation. You will notice on the registration form that we have asked participants to include a brief bio (4-5 sentences max) of relevant work experience that will be included as a reference guide for all participants. We find that providing this information at the onset of the symposium facilitates networking.
If you have questions, or are unable to submit the registration form, please contact me or Deirdre Hollingshed (copied above). We look forward to your participation in this collaborative session to enhance interagency cooperation.
Respectfully,
Gloria Paris
